In keeping with our theme of reconciliation, we welcome visitors and participants, native and non-native alike.

This page provides information about local accommodations, services as well as some guidelines regarding expectations of visitors and participants. It will also include a map and directions to Dakota Wokiksuye Makoce (Land of Memories Park).
Guidelines for Visitors: General PowWow Etiquette

The MMA powwow committee has reserved the Land of Memories for free camping from September 20-22 (Friday – Sunday night). If you are planning to arrive on Thursday or before for the powwow, you will be responsible for camping fees. No exceptions!

Campsites in Section A, B & C

Section A: RV Campers and 5th wheel Campers!

In section A, there are 17 campsites that have electric w/30-50 amp hookups. To make a reservation in advance at Land of Memories campground in Section A, please call 763-360-0371 and ask for Cindy Petroff. Specify to her that you are making reservations for the Mahkato powwow

All reservations will be first come first serve – no exceptions. If you do not reserve a campsite in advance, you are NOT guaranteed a campsite in Section A for that weekend.

Section B & C: Tent Campers!

Tent camping is available first come first serve – no reservations in advance accepted or required.

Please note: Drinking water, showers and sanitary facilities are available to all campers. In addition, a dumping station is available for RV's and 5th wheel campers.
